Individual driving tuition, all our lessons are on a one to one basis. At no other time will you need to meet any other pupils. Some driving schools include picking up or dropping off other pupils in the driving lesson.

Pass Plus

You've passed you driving test and can't wait to get your first car. You want the kind of independence that only comes with having your own set of wheels, but the cost of insurance is sky high. So how do you get what you want, and pay a lower premium? The answer is Pass Plus - backed by insurance companies, Central Government and the Driving Standards Agency.

The Pass Plus scheme is designed to make you a better driver and so help you avoid being part of a gruesome statistic.It involves more lessons in the form of six specially designed driver training modules which cover driving in town, out of town, in all weathers, at night, on dual carriageways and on motorways. And there is no test to take at the end of it.

Cost: £160 Total Course

DIAmond Advanced Test

The DIAmond Advanced Test will take over an hour and will encompass most types of road conditions. A maximum of six minor faults will be allowed. The DIAmond Advanced Driving Test is the first advanced test available to the general public which examines the Driving Standards Agencys recommended syllabus for driving in its entirety. Those candidates who can demonstrate their skills and knowledge DIAmond Advanced Motorists.

The system of driving will remain the same as you were originally taught but of course you will be expected to demonstrate a progressive drive and a higher degree of skill and competence. All the manoeuvres contained in the recommended syllabus may also be examined. As you are aware, conditions can be entirely different when driving at night, in snow, on ice, in bright sunlight, in the rain or on the motorway. To ensure that appropriate experience of these conditions has been achieved we ask your instructor to sign the appropriate form. Your instructor will also be able to tell you what to expect on the test. One hour or two hour lessons available.

DIAmond Advanced Special Test

After extensive trials, the DIAmond Advanced Motorists driving test organisation has re-trained a number of examiners to undertake "the ultimate" driving test, to be called the DIAmond Special Test. The cost will be £65.00 and currently can be taken in most areas throughout the North West.

The new DIAmond Special test is arguably be the most difficult test yet available in the United Kingdom and examiners will seek the perfect drive for the 90 minute test. The standard will be a maximum of two driving (minor) faults. The new test will be available for anyone to take – even from the general public.

Motorway Driving

Whether we like it or not, most of us at some point in our lives will find ourselves using motorways on a regular basis. Motorways are an entirely different enviroment from where we learn to drive, so at first motorway driving can seem quite daunting, and to some even frightening. This is why at Mike Orrell som we strongly recommend that after passing your test you take up some motorway lessons.

To take a motorway course you must already hold a valid full UK driving licence. There is a set fee of £45 per 2 hour session using your own car. All aspects of motorway driving are undertaken. Ideal for pupils who are nervous of motorway driving or for those who just want to enhance their all round driving skills.

Quick Pass Lessons

Intensive driving lessons or quick pass driving lessons are popular with learners who don't want to wait to pass their driving test. It is the quickest and safest way to gain your full driving licence. These crash course driving lessons are popular among kinds of young and old drivers. Whether you have driven before or not, this is the ideal way to get you behind the wheel sooner rather than later.

Available in blocks of 6 hours driving tuition. You can book as many lessons as you like. It is a possibilty that you can pass your driving test within a week.

Cost: £130 for 6 Hours

Refresher Lessons

Refresher lessons are ideal for pupils that haven't driven for a while or just want that little extra reassurance on their driving skills. If it's a while since you passed your driving test then these are ideal lessons to bring you up to date on new driving skills and more econimical, safe and practical driving. Refresher courses can also help you to become a more confident driver.

Parking Lessons

One of the four manoeuvres you will need to learn for your driving test is bay parking. Even the most experienced driver can struggle with their car parking techniques. The ability to bay park is a skill that you may use regularly. When shopping at supermarkets or using a multi-storey car park your bay parking ability will be tested.

Reverse parking or the parallel park is one of the most trickiest driving manouveres there is. Mastering this driving skill can make a real difference to your driving ability. In this 90 minute driving lesson we will teach you all aspects of parking. A skill that will stay with you for life.
